(SORRY FOR BEING LATE) Starbucks prices. Is it worth it?

An interview by Brandon Le.

Ever thought that Starbucks prices were too high? Well, you aren’t alone. In this article, people will be agreeing or disagreeing with that opinion in their own words, and their own experiences.

Starbucks prices are not worth it. They cost a bit much when you can likely make one at home. Mrs Cardona thinks that “It feels overpriced for what I am getting, but I do understand there are costs for materials, labor, and workers, but typically, it costs a bit much.” And when I interviewed a kid named “Kindle” for an answer, she responded: “I mean, it’s like $8, but I think it is, based on size. If you don’t get a big price, it is not worth it.” People say it is too pricey in general. Along with that, the prices are “incredibly overpriced.” many say.

Starbucks feels too expensive, especially compared to what you can make at home, with many saying that the price should be “way lower.” and “if it was cheaper, I’d buy two.” And after some research, you can buy coffee beans for fourteen dollars, and would make around 40 Starbucks cups. Keep in mind that one Starbucks cup costs about five to nine dollars. Sawyer made an amazing point here (that Starbucks should take notes of), saying that

they won’t lower it, but to be fair, the prices should be a lot lower.

Another theme is that people find people drinking too much of it. I feel as if it is too much sugar and it is not that healthy. Pearl Brandenburg made a great point here, saying that “Starbucks can be unhealthy if you don’t read about what you get.” and other people can agree to it. I interviewed kids that drink a lot of Starbucks (which they want to remain anonymous) and they claim that they do not feel the best after drinking Starbucks, one even quoting “I have no idea why I can’t decrease the amount of sugar while still keeping the ingredients I know and love.”

It is not just the drinks, people do not like the food items, for both taste and price, since it feels expensive for something that is mid-at-best. “The food IS NOT WORTH IT.” Sawyer mentions in an interview. People ESPECIALLY do not like the sandwiches, therefore, when I asked my mom about the sandwich prices, she responded with “No, the sandwiches are too expensive.” “NO, If I am being honest, the sandwiches are not good. The muffins are good but the price is just no.” Kindle says about the sandwiches. Even I think the prices are a bit too high, because McDonalds breakfast is a bit more expensive, for something that is SO MUCH BETTER!! (ooh this seems like a cool next topic)

Contrary to what most people think, some people find Starbucks worth it. Many who say that it is not worth it, they find it worth buying once in a while as a treat. Along with that, some say it is worth the price in general. “Yes, it helps me stay awake through work.” Parents say. And, some say that “it really depends on the size that you get it in, small sizes are not worth it and larger sizes are somewhat.”

So ending this draft, people generally say that Starbucks prices are not worth it, (although many find it worth it buying once in a while) and feel like it should be cheaper knowing that a recipe can cost less. Most people also say that the food is “not good and it is definitely not worth the price.” And on top of all of this, people find Starbucks items “very unhealthy if you don’t read what you get.” due to its high content of sugar and sometimes sodium. And with that being said, I feel like it is THE END. PS, email me about your opinions of Starbucks prices or about this article (I’m still a newbie) HERE: lebrh@students.osd.wednet.edu.
