Many people have to work on different challenges and goals and it’s different for everyone. It all depends on peoples personality, difficulties in subjects , age, and more. But we are here to find out what some of the challenges that students at Thurgood Marshall Middle School need to work on during the new semester.

My first interviewee was Adela Mathenson, and she stated, “I’d say being someone in algebra that was probably my hardest struggle, because math funny enough, has never actually come easy to me. And it’s always been my hardest subject and one that I struggle with. And so I am in algebra, but that is and it has been very, very complicated and difficult just especially on top of other schoolwork, being able to manage that and still maintain a good grade in that class.  I managed to do it last semester. And I think for this semester, honestly just keep prioritizing my studying. And, you know, just any time I have putting little efforts and little pieces of my time towards practicing because you can always get better.”

Piper Mason, an 8th grader said, “So first semester my Chromebook would always be dead. So maybe one of the challenges I want to do better on is keeping my Chromebook charged so every assignment I have to do, I won’t always have to borrow a loaner or charge it on, like, in a different place. So that’s one thing is make sure my Chromebooks always charged.”

Sawyer Bushell, an 8th grader, when asked what the biggest challenge she faced that she wanted to work on for the 2nd semester she said, “I think the biggest challenge for me is keeping my grades the way I like it and staying on top of assignments.”

Vivian Skogen a 7th grader said, “Probably talking more in class and being more engaged and raising my hand more. ”

When interviewed Bijou Boyer, a 7th grader said, “My missing assignments? I remember had like twelve missing assignments at one point collectively through all of my classes. And I want to keep that at like zero or one because if it’s one then I was probably absent. But I would like to keep it at zero or one because I can just do the one because I can just do the one.”

Emmy Eperson an 8th grader said, “I found it was really hard to get to class on time because the classes are super far away from each other, and it’s hard to, like, do anything in between except, like, rush to your next class. And I think I’ll improve by maybe leaving a a minute early or. Being more organized so that my stuff is where I so I can put my stuff away, where it goes and it’s easier to.”

All the different interviewees had different challenges they faced since they are after all different people, but everyone has one thing in common, and that is the fact that everyone has faced a challenge little or small.
